Welcome to the last episode of Season One of The Deeper Call podcast.
When I set out to record Season One, I did not have a singular intention. I held a vision for the space I hoped to create, the conversations I dreamed of having, and a place for us to hear each other in ways that could support us in listening to our deeper callings.
I wanted this to be a show about feeling things, being moved to tears, moved to heal, moved to connect, moved to take action, moved to remember however briefly that we are interconnected. That’s the purpose of art—to reflect something back to us about our own lives, to suspend us in a moment of awe, to tell stories that matter.
I invite you to join me today as I reflect on the episodes from this season and share my favorite insights and personal take-aways from each conversation. I also offer a guided forgiveness practice from my first book, How To Breathe.
As you listen, I’m curious — What is resonating with you? How have these deep dives supported you? What questions continue to linger?
I look forward to reading any responses you are moved to share.
Thank you for being on this journey with me. Thank you for trusting me with your attention and your time. Thank you for sharing your favorite episodes with your friends. Thank you for letting me know how much this show means to you.
It takes a village to create a project like this and you make it worth it. I would not have this podcast without you. I also want to take a moment to acknowledge my incredible producer and podcast midwife Amelia Hruby, founder of Softer Sounds. She is such a big part of this podcast.
Season Two begins on January 10th and I look forward to connecting with you on the podcast then.
With deep care and gratitude,
Ashley

Ashley, I am thrilled to have found you and your podcast. Just listened to the episode with Tracy Stanley and have two more already in my queue. Our work is so aligned and I would love to have a conversation with you to deepen both of our work into each other. I just ordered Permission to Rest which speaks to my soul already. My first book was published in May 2023, Joy Is My Justice: Reclaim Yours Now and is an exploration of Joy as a revolutionary call to action and not a destination, as a human right and a deeply embodied practice that is distinct from happiness which is a cognitive evaluation. If we shut down to our pain, in fact, we shut down to our Joy. Our mental health conversation excludes so many of us with its implying that "hacking" ourselves to happiness in the face of suffering, oppression and trauma can always happen and if it doesn't, we feel even more broken. I could go on as you can see but wanted you to see where our work aligns. I am looking forward to your second season and hope our connection can blossom here as well.
