Let’s get to know each other
Since my last essay about leaving Instagram there has been a huge influx of new subscribers. Welcome, I am so glad you are here.
I’ve wanted to experiment with hosting discussions for a while and thought it would be fun to start by opening introductions to all subscribers.
My intention for this conversation space is to offer a place for The Deeper Call community to get to know each other. If this is fun and supportive, I’ll host them again in the future.
First, please share-
What brought you to The Deeper Call.
A bit about what you navigating right now (stage of life, intentions, dreams, struggles).
Anything else you are called to share.
Next, say hello to someone else-
Introduce yourself.
Perhaps follow each other on Substack if it feels right.
To start us off, I’ll pin my share to the top of the comments.
Thank you so much for participating and I look forward to connecting with each of you!
With care and gratitude,
Ashley

Hi! I was called to create this offering to have a place to share in long form, away from the trappings of social media, stories and practices centering self-trust, authenticity, and healing. Right now I am struggling to squeeze in as much time with my writing practice as I would like to. I am also really enjoying being off social media. My attention span is increasing daily and I feel much more grounded. I look forward to connecting with all of you!
Hello! I’m Blake from Nashville, TN. I believe I found The Deeper Call months ago through my Notes feed. Your writing, particularly the way you write with such vulnerability and grace, drew me in and I’m glad to be here.
I’m a new dad to my 9mo old daughter Charlotte. We call her Lottie. Fathering is the most redeeming and humbling, if I let it be, journey yet. Having deep relational trauma in my family of origin, parenting is inviting me into a much deeper call than I anticipated.
Im also a therapist in private practice and write at More to the Story here on Substack. I’m in a place of discovering and becoming more intentional in my creative practice and work.
