Give yourself permission to rest
A 4-week breathwork immersion for anyone struggling to settle, stay present, and rest
Staring next week on September 25th, I am facilitating our next breathwork immersion based on my second book, Permission to Rest1.
No rest, no revolution
If you’re struggling to slow down, you’re not alone.
If you’re unable to feel settled and at home in your body, you’re not alone.
If it feels like a fight to stay present and be with yourself, you’re not alone.
If you’re operating in survival mode most of the time, you’re not alone.
If it is unimaginable to integrate rest into your daily life, you’re not alone.
We are completely burned-out as individuals and as a culture, yet we still press on as if the fire is still burning, because in many ways it is. Even now, reading this, you are likely thinking of a million other things you could be doing, tempted to skim this and move to the next thing. And then the next. I feel you. Stick with me.
Along with the deluge of everyday tasks and responsibilities, we are living with urgent, existential matters of injustice that must be faced—from the climate crisis to economic, gender, and racial inequality, to name a few. These massive systemic issues urgently need our attention. And of course, the U.S. presidential election is nearing, and with it our collective stress levels are rising.
And yet we can’t fully serve each other or the planet while we’re running on empty.
We must address the urgency within our own bodies and learn to regulate and rest ourselves so that we can show up, both in support of each other and for the kind of world that we want future generations to inherit.
We must learn to rest in order to cultivate the grounded and steady presence that is essential to being part of the solution for our communities.
We must be willing to practice resting for ourselves and for something bigger than ourselves—this is what is urgent.

If you have ever said any of the following…
I don’t have time to rest.
It’s selfish to prioritize resting.
Rest has to look a certain way.
I am not good at resting.
I’ll rest once everything is checked off my list.
I don’t have the support I need.
I will start resting tomorrow.
My mind is too active, I’m easily distracted.
I have too many urgent things to do.
My family, my career depends on me—it’s just not possible for me to rest
…this immersion is for you.
Things people have said about past breathwork immersions
“This has been a very gentle immersion and I’m so grateful for the permission to be this gentle, I’ve so needed it!”
“I continue to love the self-healing and forgiveness breath practice so much. I am just starting to feel my body letting go after daily practice since this session started. It is slow, but feels so very good. I could do this one over and over and over again.”
“This proved to be a profound exercise for me. It revealed pockets of shame and blame that had become an ever-present background noise.”
“Thank you a million times over, Ashley. These practices are incredibly moving and supportive.”
“This was so much fun.”
Why an immersion?
Community has been at the heart of my work for fifteen years. Whether you are brand new to cultivating a rest practice or you have been engaged with this work for some time, there is real power in practicing together as a group.
The energy and accountability that comes from group containers supports us to navigate challenges we face when we slow down as well as celebrate the small joys along the way. Groups also reduce isolation, help us to normalize what we are experiencing in our practice, and offer a sense of fellowship—something that is largely missing from many of our lives.

Permission to Rest is an incredibly helpful supplement to this immersion, and it's the book I'm most proud of writing. While it's absolutely not necessary to purchase the book for the immersion, I hope you'll consider purchasing it as an investment in your healing journey.
What a beautiful concept you have created here Ashley, sounds divine. ✨ And my goodness, yes, I think we could all do with less of the 'go go go' and more of the 'slow slow slow'. I'm really just coming to terms with how unsustainable the pace of modern life is! xx
This looks like such a beautiful offer. Wishing you a peaceful and restful day today 🧡
